There is no such thing as a perfect book. I’ve not had a single conversation with photographer, designer, writer or publisher who claimed to have printed something “perfect.” The idea of perfect is an amateur idea because pros know perfection is a unicorn. Just print. Regardless of platform, budget, materials or anything else. Don’t complain about what’s not possible. Don’t wait for materials that don’t exist. Use what is out there and forge ahead. Albania Zine v1 is a mess. A total mess. Far too many images, no real design, not enough copy. The only thing I nailed was trim size and paper. But that is what v1’s are for. Photobooks are like any other art form, best realized through revision. So stop sweating perfection and hit the print button.

I like the size and the double exposures, downsizing my zine to a more carry around size…and jazz, the perfect choice…because it’s all jazz, different every time you play it, experience it, print it.
Just going to second Chuck’s comment.

I too like small. Even the 5×8 is good.
Interesting how the multiple exposures can give the impression that the book is actually multiple times bigger. Nice colour palette too.
