Yes, I finally read it. One of my all-time favorite movies is now locked in my literary head. I don’t need to sell anyone on this book. Not if you have seen the movie. The book, in places, rides herd over the movie while in other places strays afar.
Where else can you read the name “Vernon Hardapple?” Wonder Boys by Michael Chabon is a wonderful read. Great story, characters you find sympathy with, others you are impressed by, and all the while we circle the world of those obsessed by the written word. What’s not to like? Do I look on with jealousy while reading about characters living in their parent’s basement while they bang out their first novel? Yes. Do I look on with jealousy as people attend a literary festival? Yes. Do I look on with jealousy as the main character drives around smoking Humbolt chronic behind the wheel of his classic car? Of course.

Van guy, “Nomadland”, get it, read it.
Author
Chuck,
Already did!
So, let me see if I’m getting this right – you’d recommend Wonder Boys 🙂
Hey Shifter Community – I use an X-T2 and an X-H1. Anyone know if it’s possible to go back to a photo for a double exposure? Or do the images have to be in camera if you’re using the camera multi-exposures setting.
Author
Scott,
I think it has to be done in real-time. I think.
Drat. It’d be really handy if you could move to a photo and then turn on multi-exposure and then go from there.
Author
Scott,
Don’t trust me. Talk to someone who knows how their camera actually works.
What a great read! Thanks for the recommendation Dan. I enjoyed it so much I immediately picked up Telegraph Avenue.
Author
Jon,
Great movie too!
