Read: The Book Thief

Yes, that is a photo of a Kindle. Get over it. There are more on the way. I love the Kindle, when I travel. As soon as I get home I go back to paper. It’s awesome having both. Much of my life revolves around books. So the question is how could I NOT read something called “The Book Thief?” Throw in the fact the setting is WWII, another of my long time focus areas, and Markus Zusak’s storytelling ability and you have a wonderful book. I’m guessing that many of you have already read this book as it’s been out for some time and has won numerous awards. I don’t want to give anything away, but my favorite part of the book is the narrator who comes to the story from a unique perspective. Risks are taken. Books are stolen. Get it, read it.

  1. Nope. Can’t get over it. Not going to happen. You ruined it. Kindle?!? Bah. Get off my lawn.

Still need a paper book even when I travel, which these days, has become quite intensive again. Hardback too. I’ve also forsaken Amazon for the local shop down the street. Crazy, right?

Anyway, it is a great book. The movie adaptation was very good as well.

      Sean,
I’m back to paper for the moment. I have too much other stuff to carry for paper when I’m on the road, but my dreamy, future self will have time and space.

  2. Just finished. Ended up loving it. Took me a little while to get in sync with the narrator and delivery style. But that is what’s great about actually reading…..it ends up changing you a little.
