Read: Bird Art Life

Beautiful book. Passages that demand a break, demand a reread, demand contemplation. Small is not only enough, but small is also good and should righteously feel okay. Kyo Maclear’s Birds Art Life shows what happens when someone is forced to look inward by both internal and external forces. A feathered lifeline appears. Steps are taken and the overlooked becomes the focus. Family, friends, marriage, children, life, jobs, work, and natural world bearings form to the sound of one long, human exhale. This book also describes art in a way that made me pause. Knowing I would incorporate some of these ideas into my own philosophy. Get it, read it.
