It’s finally happening: a domestic workshop. Santa Fe, March of 2027. Journals, Zines and Photobooks: From Capture to Print is alive. Don’t you worry, foreigners; I’ve got plenty headed your way too. Albania, Patagonia, Brazil, France, and maybe a few others that are not yet set in stone. Most of the time, I’m teaching abroad, but when SFW comes asking, I’m always keen to play along. I’ve been taking workshops and teaching with SFW since 1997. I’m a believer.
This class is going to be cool.
Shoot, edit, glue, paste, cut, embellish, print, and make. Take chances, try new things, and also learn from lo-fi to hi-fi. Journaling, zine-making, and more classic approaches to photobooks will be covered. The air will be cold and crisp, the town quiet, but our printers and art supplies will be flying. As I write this, I have red acrylic paint on my hands. I have paper pressed to contact sources, and a big smile across my face. Come join me for the fun and games.
