Our official time at Paris Photo is over but the trip is far from finished. Over 90,000 attendees, ninety galleries, and thirty-six publishers, and three hundred books signings, and that was just Paris Photo alone. Throw in Polycopies and Offprint and a myriad of other shows and openings and you have a massive coil of all things photography. These are long days that could actually be longer if we felt like attending some of the more exclusive things that happen after the doors of the show have closed for the day. Coming here is a learning experience even after all these years. There is so much change happening in photography and publishing which for me makes the entire experience quite enjoyable.

Dan, it was good to run into you at POLYCOPIES, earlier this week. I too found ParisPhoto interesting and the shifts and changes occurring in photography exciting. The crowds at all of the venues were over the top.

And voilá, what a great overview of the event! I hope you’ll have the chance to do something on Gnomic Books — they were a standout among many other remarkable publishers. Overall, it was encouraging, and a bright spot in the year to see so many people so excited about photography and photobooks. Bravo!

I had a long talk with the gentleman who runs Gnomic. I love their output and he’s super cool as well. I learned a lot.
