Creative: Trade Night at Projections

The next two posts are about my upcoming talks and recordings. The first is “Trade Night at Projections.” You can see their past recordings on their YouTube channel. Frank Meo, also known as “The Photo Closer,” asked me if I wanted to create a fifteen-minute Blurb talk, something I immediately said yes to. The talk starts with me talking about why I’m the one doing the talk. Starting with a brief recap of my self-pub life is a way for people to understand I’m not just a salesman for Blurb. I’ve been self-publishing since 1995. The rest of the talk is nuts and bolts of the platform. But I’m not the only one presenting. You also have the following presenters. Aurelie’s Gallery, BLVD Artists, BlinkBid, SJ Barnes Design, and Jennifer Stoots.

This could be a fun event for many of you because these are industry people and not online people. Most of what I see being tossed around the online photography space revolves around online people. It makes sense. But running parallel is the industry of photography. Many of the most successful online folks are total unknowns in the industry, and vice versa. (When I was working as a photographer, I didn’t know ANY of the online folks.) I love sharing both sides of the aisle as they are so different, and find they can play off each other..

This coming Wednesday! Here’s the link for the evening – we’ll open up at 6:40 to get set up and start at 7:00 EST via
