Okay, jackals. You asked for it, and now you have it. A Europe-based workshop, right there outside your Menorcan backdoor. “Dan Milnor: On Assignment” is live. In partnership with Raw Society. Many of you know my work on Sicilian Easter processions. This was one of my most successful efforts. This project had gallery representation, was published many times, and earned me finalist status for the Honickman First Book Prize. This is classic black-and-white reportage, or documentary work. This upcoming workshop in Menorca will center around Menorcan Easter processions, which are smaller and more intimate, and will provide a wonderful structure. We will focus on shooting, editing, sequencing, writing in support of your imagery, and book design. And yes, the notebook and journal will be front and center. (It always is…) Also, three other instructors are coming, including my old friend from Los Angeles, Frank Ockenfels. This is going to be a crazy cool week, with Menorca as the backdrop. I’ll post more about this in the coming weeks. (There are more things in the works.)
