Read: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness

This is a beautiful book. The author, Arundhati Roy, who happens to be a Booker Prize winner knows her way around the page. And she knows how to weave an elaborate tale filled with tiny, wonderful details.

The location, various stops in India, is a major player in this novel. A fictional tale but loaded with fact about India, Kashmir and the long running “troubles” that permeate that section of the world.

I was hooked on this novel from the moment it began on the streets of Old Delhi. The Ministry of Utmost Happiness is At times quiet, at times loud. Speaking of romance, hostility and the ever changing fabric of India.

Get it read it.
