Courtney White brings us another gem with “The Age of Consequences,” which is about the critical juncture our culture and planet find themselves. For some reason it was especially poignant to read this during the time that Apple launched their latest phone. This book isn’t about tech, but the tech world, at least to me, is the perfect example of where we have gone so, so wrong. Tech is about greed in so many ways. Greed for natural resources, greed for exposure and greed for unparalleled wealth. White’s book is about the natural world, about seeing things in new ways and tracking how these new ways came improve things that we as humans have set back centuries. Land health, water, ecosystems, biodiversity and how these these unfold in the “New West.” I loved it. Get it, read it.
