I read a wide variety of publication. Fiction, nonfiction, graphic novel, comic book, pamphlet and even auto mags when I’m waiting for my tires to get rotated. Sometimes I just want a good story. Something that sucks me in and doesn’t let go. C.B. McKenzie’s “Bad Country” did just that. Doesn’t hurt that the book is centered in a part of the country I love, a part that most people spend their lives attempting to flee from. Hot, dry, dusty and wild. What’s not to like? I’ve heard rumor of a second book from McKenzie. I’ll find the second because the first one did the trick.
