Creative: Prime Lenses Podcast

I've mentioned Prime Lenses here many times in the past. This post links to a conversation I had with Iain.

I’ve mentioned Prime Lenses here many times in the past, but there is always room for another post, especially when that post features one of the most important people in modern history: me. (My mom thought I fit this bill, so technically, I can say it.) I think it was I who reached out to Iain and said, “Let’s have a chat.” This was mostly because I was curious about what he was up to. I’m curious. He’s curious. This led to the conversation linked here.

We mixed it up.

Typically, in a photography talk, the dialogue centers on all the stuff we photogs find intriguing. And yes, there is that here, but there is more. We even hit on a bit of politics, which I adore, especially in this age, whatever you want to call it. The Age of Grift? The Post Truth Age? The Age of Political Radicalization? Most online photography outlets won’t touch topics like this, which is why I don’t watch or listen to most of them. I know how my camera works. Let’s talk about story, and about how being creative might contribute to the world at large. I want to thank Iain for taking the time. He’s an intelligent, kind, curious man who likes to ask questions. What’s not to like?
