I don’t read the Huffington Post. I never have. So I guess you could say I’m behind the Huffington Curve. It’s not that I have anything against the Post. I actually don’t know anything about it. I don’t read it because I typically don’t read ANY news site on a regular basis. I find I’m much happier this way, and I always seem to know what’s going on. But, I’m glad I found this book which just appeared in my house one day.

I truly enjoyed this book. Thrive is about redefining success, and deals with how Arianna looks at this idea and how she herself handles the twists and turns of our modern, frenetic life. The subtitle includes this “….well-being, wisdom and wonder,” which I have to say are three poignant little creatures.

This isn’t a self-help book. It’s more of a guide book, but it’s also loaded with small stories and anecdotes, some humorous, some nearly tragic, but I’ve already recommended to a few, specific people in my life. Get it, read it.

  1. Ordered this one and Silence at 630am on Dec 24th. They were at my door at 230pm that afternoon…ridiculous really (and ironically part of what these two books are telling us we need to get away from 😉

Enjoyed both over the Holidays. I got a bit tired of the endless quotes format in Thrive but the message certainly gets through.

    Thanks for passing them on.

      JT,
Same for me. The quote thing is popular with tech folks who write books and celebs. It’s easy filler.
