Creative: For What It’s Worth, Episode 006

Welcome back podcast family. Episode Six at your disposal. What do we have on tap this week? How about an update on my email newsletter that doesn’t yet exist? Photographers you should know about. Sian Davey and Scott Dalton. (I now know how to pronounce her name.) I found a cool analog Zine you should know about, Analog Forever Zine. I also check in with a concept I found in the Bhagavad Gita. Don’t worry, I’m not going to go all crystal people on you, not yet anyway. And finally, a quick mention of new Lightroom/Blurb options for those of you who make books via this platform. Thanks for tuning in.

  1. I like the idea of shooting without a reward in mind idea. I try to shoot that way but I find sharing on IG to be fun too. @42jameskelly

  2. Thanks for posting this Daniel, especially the link to the work of Sian Davies (Sian is a Welsh name, pronounced, roughly, “Sharn” – I can’t do the special character on my computer), which is beautiful – the parallels with some of the work of Sally Mann are striking: the rural riverside house, the kids, the “mother’s gaze”, and the depth of thought about the meaning of photographs. Wonderful.
